TranslationAgency in Deloitte’s Fast 50

Deloitte, an international organisation in the field of financial and business services, organises the Fast 50 every year. And… TranslationAgency is one of the nominated parties!

What is the Fast 50?

The Fast 50 is a prestigious prize for which the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the Netherlands are selected. What… TranslationAgency is a translation agency, isn’t it? That’s right. But, in order to run all our administrative, organisational and business processes properly, we heavily depend on digital technology. How else would we be able to control around 1,200 translators across the globe with only a few employees in Amsterdam? This is only possible using a splendid bit of cloud-environment technology, which was specifically developed for us.

Technology versus craftsmanship

The nice thing is that the latest technological developments combine excellently with the craftsmanship of translating. Of course, translators increasingly make use of technological tools, but lacking sufficient personal knowledge and competency, proper translations cannot be made.

The conditions of the Fast 50

State-of-the-art technology alone is not sufficient to be nominated for the Fast 50.

A few of the additional conditions for participation are that the company has its head office in the Netherlands and that there must have been a spectacular growth in revenue over the past four years, and that the application of technological products or services must have been visible during these four years.

Fingers crossed

On 13 October, we will be present at the Technology Fast 50 Awards Ceremony in Amsterdam, where the winners will be revealed and honoured in a festive setting. The categories in which prizes can be won: hardware, software, communications, media, life sciences, clean technology and most sustainable grower. Fingers crossed.
